8 & Under Swimmers
This group has always had a wide variety of skill levels and splitting the group into two is our way of making sure everyone receives the coaching level they need as they start their swimming journey.
8 & Under PURPLE GROUP:
These are our new-to-big-team swimmers who may need a little extra help making the jump from guppies to big team. Our purple group swimmers know how to swim less than 3 strokes and would benefit from more hands-on help in the water at practice. This group will practice at the same time as our 8 & Under BLACK group, but they will be split into different lanes.
8 & Under BLACK GROUP:
These 8 & under swimmers are probably in their second year on big team or have previous swimming experience. They know how to swim at least 3 strokes legally and are able to keep up with some of the older swimmers. This group will practice at the same time as our PURPLE group.
Not sure which group your child would be in? No worries! Our coaches can evaluate skill level and make sure your swimmer is in the group that is best for them!
Our goal is to graduate our purple group up to the black group, so as they progress during the season they may be moved up (aka receive their black belts).
