Stonehaven Stingrays Swim

Registration OPENS February 22rd 

The Stonehaven Stingrays Guppy Program will be limited to 35 swimmers.  A separate wait list registration will be available once the 35 spots fill up. 

Ages 4-6 (We will also accept children turning 4 during the 2025 pool season AND who are already comfortable in the water)

Guppies will be offered to Stonehaven residents first, and then opened up to outside members if it is not full. 

2026 Pricing: $150 per swimmer with a one time $25 concessions fee per family. 

ALL 11 and up swimmers!  If you love younger kids and swimming, please consider signing up for our guppy helper positions!

The Stonehaven Guppy Team is the heart and future of our "big" team!  The Guppies program is for our young swimmers who may not be quite ready for "big" team.  They are typically 4-6 years old and have their own separate practices where they focus on swimming more confidently unassisted; kicking, breathing, floating, free-style and backstroke basics. Guppies must want to swim and must be comfortable in the water without any flotation device. They must also be fully potty trained and be able to follow directions from our coaches for 45 minutes.  Some children need to participate in the Guppy program for two years before they are ready to move up to big team. Guppies who show the ability have the option to "move up" to big team during the season, but this move is a joint decision between the coaches and parents.

Guppies do not need a team suit. They can wear whatever swimsuit they desire.

A parent or caretaker must stay at the pool for the entire practice and meet.

*If you are unsure if you should sign up for Big Team or Guppies... 

Your swimmer must be able to swim the length of the pool without any assistance to be on big team. If you don't think your swimmer can do that, Guppies is best for them. The swimmer may be moved up to big team as they advance. 

Guppy Helpers will be selected from big team to assist the coaches with hands on contact with the young swimmers.

M/T/W/Th AM:

Guppies – 9:30-10:15 at Stonehaven 2

M/T/W PM:

Guppies – 3:00-3:45 at Stonehaven 2

Friday AM ONLY:

Guppies: 10:00 - 10:45 at Stonehaven 1

Guppy Meets

The Guppies have 4 meets on Saturday mornings in May/June where they swim with Guppies from other teams. These "meets" are very low-key, last an hour or so, and the coaches and helpers are in the water with the swimmers the entire time.

Parent Responsibilities: Guppy parents will be responsible for staying at the pool during practice. Parents are also responsible to assist during meets as timers, lane helpers and other meet set up to ensure a safe and quick guppy meet.
