Volunteering
Parent involvement is imperative to allow swim meets to run smoothly and effectively. All parents agreed to volunteer for both home and away meets when you registered, unless you paid the additional fee to be volunteer exempt. This agreement includes family responsibility of at least one position for home and away meets. If everyone pitches in for ONE shift we should have enough volunteers to run our meets.
We would ask that parents who have kids swimming in relays and older kids to consider taking the 2nd half positions first. It makes it a lot easier for our families with really young children to be able to volunteer for the first half when their kids are not signed up for relays.
Volunteering is a great opportunity to become more involved and get to know all our wonderful Stingray families.
Our team must fill over 50 volunteer positions each week; this program could not exist without you! Some volunteer positions require training, either online or class training, and/or a certification. We will communicate when training and certifications are available from SAIL.
