Stingray Spirit!
Team spirit is an integral part of our swim team! We have special people on board and add in several activities to promote team spirit and create a fun atmosphere for our families! Here you can learn more about some of the traditions we have!
A tradition started in the 2024 swim season. The winner of every HEAT gets a rubber duck to collect. The duck goes to the winner even if they are from the opposing team so everyone gets in on the fun!
Hot Heats was also started in 2024 and quickly became a favorite of not only our team but our visiting teams. There are approximately 10 hot heats per meet and they are chosen at random. Our hot heats DJ will start playing music if a heat has been selected as a hot heat. The winner of the hot heat gets to pick out something from the prize table provided by one of our generous sponsors!
Buddy days are a long standing Stingray tradition where we let our youngest swimmers have a practice day with our older swimmers. In 2024 we had themed buddy days such as Swiftie Swim, Olympics Day, and Sports themed. Usually our buddy days consist of practice time where the older swimmer helps the younger swimmer with something they feel like they need a little extra help in. The last part of practice will be a fun relay that ties into the theme. Stay tuned for 2025 buddy days planned by our Spirit Captain!
