2026 Volunteers
Parent involvement is imperative to allow swim meets to run smoothly and effectively. Everyone agreed to volunteer for both home and away meets when you registered, unless you paid the additional fee to be volunteer exempt. This agreement includes family responsibility of at least one position for home and away meets. If everyone pitches in for ONE shift we should have enough volunteers to run our meets.
** We ask parents who have kids swimming in relays and older kids to consider taking the 2nd half positions first. It makes it a lot easier for our families with really young children to be able to volunteer for the first half when their kids are not signed up for relays.
Volunteering is a great opportunity to become more involved and get to know all of our wonderful Stingray families.
Our team must fill over 50 volunteer positions each week; this program could not exist without you! Most volunteer positions require online training.
These positions are easy to do and very easy to train for and pass. It takes only minutes to read the training and take the test.
Testing for Records & Ribbons, Runners, Timers, Chief Timer, Team Computer Operator, Clerk of Course, Coaches, Stroke and Turn Judge, Starter, and Referee are all live now on the SAIL website.

We would like to encourage you to consider becoming an Official. While the training sessions for these positions may be a little more time-consuming and intimidating than for other positions, we will support everyone to make sure you are comfortable officiating on deck. There will be as many apprentice sessions available as needed before you get to make calls on your own. It's really not as difficult as it may seem in the beginning.
